Flavour Profile: Honey, Floral, Earthy
This tea is made from the Jin Xuan cultivar, a Taiwanese tea variety known for its naturally smooth texture and gentle floral aroma. The leaves are grown in the Shanlinxi Yangwan tea area of Nantou, at elevations of around 1400–1600 meters, where cool temperatures and frequent mountain mist allow the tea plants to grow slowly and develop deeper fragrance.
The tea is processed as a lightly oxidized oolong, preserving the fresh character of the leaf while allowing the natural sweetness of the cultivar to develop. The leaves are thick and rich in pectin, which gives the brewed tea a soft, rounded mouthfeel.
When infused, the tea produces a clear golden-green liquor with a delicate fragrance. The flavor is smooth and gently sweet, with soft floral notes and a mellow body. The finish is clean and lingering, leaving a subtle sweetness that continues to develop after each sip.
Brewing Guide
Best prepared with short infusions to highlight floral aroma, sweetness, and clarity.
