Flavour Profile: Sugar Cane, Smokiness, Umame
Sun Link Sea is located in Nantou, Taiwan at an altitude of over 1400 meters. At this altitude the cooler climate slows the growth of the tea plants, allowing the leaves to develop more depth and sweetness. Following harvest the tea leaves are processed using top-grade longan wood charcoal and slowly roasted over a low flame for three to five years, achieving an 80-90% roasting level.
The tea liquor is bright red with good reflectivity and a distinct lingering aroma. The aroma includes aged and charcoal notes, along with subtle hints of smokiness and cane sugar, creating a well-defined and rich yet harmonious flavor profile. The taste is smooth and refreshing, with a long-lasting sweet aftertaste.
